Biography
Hueylan Chern is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of California, San Francisco. She received her M.D. from UMDNJ - New Jersey Medical School and completed her general surgery training at Brown University. After her residency, she then finished a colorectal surgery fellowship at UMDNJ - Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, followed by additional oncology training at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. She is interested in developing a curriuclum to teach laparoscopic surgery. She is also interested in assessment of technical skills in the operating room and transfer of skills from the lab to the operating room.
